EnlivenHealth Survey Finds Pharmacists Support Expanding Clinical Services, but Challenges Exist in Getting Paid
EnlivenHealth, the retail pharmacy solutions division of Omnicell, released the results of its first-ever Ask Your Pharmacist survey, which found that most pharmacists (81%) want to expand their clinical services beyond immunizations, but some 85% say their pharmacies are only receiving partial or no payment for these services. In fact, 46% of respondents said the biggest barrier to expanding their clinical services is the lack of a medical billing solution that seamlessly integrates with their pharmacy workflow. Ohio Hospitals Using Robot Pharmacy Dispensers to Minimize Errors

‘You take the human error out of it': Pharmacy robot dispenses orders at Christ Hospital
The pharmacy department at the Christ Hospital has received a new pair of helping hands in the form of a 30-foot-long robot that dispenses thousands of inpatient medication orders per day. The pharmacy robot, which is manufactured by Omnicell and called the XR2 automated central pharmacy system, refills, and sorts medication orders into automated dispensing cabinets so pharmacists are able to save time on organization and spend more time with patients.
