Joe Spears

Joe Spears joined Omnicell in May 2012 as the Vice President of Corporate Finance.  Soon after, he assumed responsibilities of the company’s global accounting operations and was promoted to Corporate Controller. In late 2017, Mr. Spears was named Senior Vice President, Chief Accounting Officer and Corporate Controller – where he leads the company’s global Accounting Operations, Tax, External Reporting, Corporate FP&A, Treasury and Corporate Travel services.  Prior to joining Omnicell, Mr. Spears served as Senior Director, Global Accounting Operations at eBay for eight years and was instrumental in building out the global accounting organization to support eBay’s rapid growth. Prior to eBay, Mr. Spears held senior financial and accounting positions at IBM, Bay Networks, and Nortel Networks. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from San Jose State University and is a past board member for the National Association of Black Accountants.
