MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., July 24, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Omnicell, Inc. (NASDAQ: OMCL), a leading provider of medication and supply management solutions and adherence tools for healthcare systems and pharmacies, today announced it is launching its XT Series Automated Supply Dispensing Cabinet. This next generation of Omnicell's supply solutions offers valuable features that provide additional flexibility with modular design, significantly increased storage capacity, and the latest technology.
The new XT cabinets have a larger, more responsive touchscreen, which creates greater efficiency for nursing staff. The Guiding Lights—which guide the clinician to the proper area of the cabinet—are six times brighter than previous versions, making them easily visible in most environments. The increased capacity of the cabinets can help prevent stockouts, and new XT supply cabinet components—a supply drawer, pull-out shelf and supply rack—help improve the way inventory is organized. The new XT cabinets use the Windows 10 operating system and feature a modern Starbus electronics architecture, which is adaptable to future innovations.
Omnicell will be showcasing the XT Automated Supply Dispensing Cabinet at the Association for Healthcare Resource & Materials Management (AHRMM) Conference in Washington, DC on July 24-25. The Company will also be hosting a reception in booth #821 on Monday, July 24 from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm, which will include a discussion by Rupert Robin, senior director of R&D for Omnicell. Mr. Robin will focus on the future of supply chain analytics. In addition, he will demonstrate Omnicell's new suite of supply reporting and analytics products for inventory management being
released in the U.K. by the end of the year and gather feedback regarding the products for future development direction in the U.S.
"Omnicell is very pleased to present our XT supply solution to the marketplace," said Joe Lynch, vice president, Marketing at Omnicell. "Considering the positive response to the release of our XT Automated Medication Dispensing Cabinets last year, we are confident that the XT supply cabinets and our future innovations will play an important role for health systems in improving their supply chain management."
